The FLPhoneCode World program is a telephone country code reference, for handheld computers or mobile phones running Palm OS. It covers 120 country codes and 121 countries of the world. The program allows you to enter a country code or country name, select a country code from a list, or select a country from a list. Main Screen The opening screen is the one that permits country code or country name entries. After you have entered the code or name on the dotted line (text field), you tap the 'Search' button. The program searches its database for your entry and updates the boxes below the horizontal solid line accordingly. If you entered a country code, the 'Country Code' box will echo it back to you and the 'Country' box will indicate which country the code belongs to. The 'Capital city' box will give the name of the country's capital city and the 'Time' box will display the time difference between the city and Universal Time. If you entered a country name, the 'Country' box will echo it back to you and the 'Country Code' box will display the code for the country you entered. Again, the 'Capital city' box will give the name of the country's capital city and the 'Time' box will display the time difference between the city and Universal Time. The example below assumes that you entered 'Canada' and tapped the 'Search' button. This is the default entry when you start the program. ![]() The three buttons at the bottom of the screen serve as tabs for navigating between screens. Tapping the 'By Code...' button will take you to the screen that allows you to select a country code from a list. Tapping the 'By Country...' button will take you to the screen that allows you to select a country from a list. By Code Screen The By Code screen displays along the left side a list of all country codes in the program database. If you scroll to and tap a country code, the program will update the boxes to the right of the solid vertical line accordingly. The example below assumes that you tapped '1' in the area code list. This is the default selection when you first open the screen.
If you tap the 'Enter...' button, the program takes you back to the main screen. If you tap the 'By Country...' button, the program displays the third screen. By City Screen The By City screen displays a list of all countries in the program database. If you scroll to and tap a country name, the program updates the boxes below the solid horizontal line accordingly. The example below assumes that you tapped 'Afghanistan' in the city list. This is the default selection when you first open the screen.
If you tap the 'Enter...' button, the program takes you back to the main screen. If you tap the 'By Code...' button, the program displays the second screen. |
